Last sunday was our annual demo day . For this years event the sun came out in style - some people had to leave before it all finished because they were too hot !! A jam packed list of displays and fun competitions were on offer. Dogsaid were there in strength with some of their dogs currently waiting on their adoption to new families. A huge thank you to all who supported this very worthy cause. Another huge thank you goes to all those with out whom the day wouldn't have happened whether you put up marquee's or made tea!! Mark did his usual hearty commentry to ease the day along and keep all the spectators informed about the events. John Higgins from Black Blur Photography was in attendance taking portrait shots that can be viewed on his site - when you see them it is hard to believe thay were taken outdoors in a park ! click here
Here is a few words from our chief organiser on the day
This was my second year to look after the WTCI DEMO Day, The plan for the day is to show people what the club is about. It is a great way to see what all the different dog sports are about, from competitive obedience to pet obedience. We had great display of both, and let’s not forget the work trails. This year was a first with our children’s obedience display. It was really good to see all the new people out with the dogs having a good time, and trying their hands at the first competion in Agility set in a fun environment. Hopeful we will see them at some of the shows from now on. Everybody had a fun day, and the dogs all went home with a wag in their tail. Till next year :-) Sinead
'I loved doing the children's display and watching the agility. I can't wait to see my photos with Toby. It was a great day' Molly Tuite
